Description: Designed with the expertise of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and fitness walking experts, this course teaches the Rutlin technique developed 18 years ago by Tom Rutlin, the original pioneer of Nordic walking. The technique has been extensively researched and is highly effective in strengthening the core muscles and upper body.
The course agenda includes: - history of Nordic walking; benefits and research; techniques from basic to high performance to rehab; troubleshooting common technique errors; designing your own Urban Poling program (marketing, pricing, etc.); and an individual evaluation. A large portion of the course is active; participants learn the technique, then focus on how to effectively teach others.
